John F. Maguire
Dr. John F. Maguire graduated in 1973 with B.Sc.(honors) and D. Phil. (1977) degrees from the University of Ulster (UK) . Following a postdoctoral scholarship at UCLA he was appointed to a tenured faculty position at Ulster. He returned to the United States in 1984 and has held a number of senior positions with General Electric Company and with Southwest Research Institute. Dr. Maguire's research interests lie in the chemical physics of matter; specifically, the application of computer simulation and electromagnetic scattering to predict and probe the properties and structure of new forms of matter. He is Research Leader in the Materials and Process design group at the Air Force Research laboratory.
