Dual Major

The dual major program allows mathematics to be combined with another major of the student's choice. This permits an interdisciplinary program closely matched to the student's interests. Either a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree may be earned. Among the dozens of possibilities are Mathematics - Physics, Mathematics - Computer Science, and Mathematics - Engineering.

See College Requirements in Mathematics and Statistics - Online Undergraduate Catalog.

Minors in Mathematics / Statistics

  • A Wright State University undergraduate whose major is in another department may earn a minor either in mathematics or in statistics. Each minor requires only 30 quarter hours -- less than one-sixth of a full Bachelor's degree curriculum.
  • The mathematics minor begins with a year of calculus plus one course in linear algebra. The remaining courses include some junior- or senior-level mathematics.
  • The statistics minor requires two courses in calculus, one in linear algebra, plus two in junior-level statistics (21 hours). The remaining classes are chosen from approved junior- and senior-level statistics courses.
