Mathematics Placement

Before an undergraduate student can take a mathematics class at Wright State University they must either:

Have transfer credit from another college or university equivalent to the prerequisite course taught by Wright State University.

OR

Take the Wright State Math Placement Test and make the required placement levelfor the course in question. To find out the required score, click here. It is strongly recommended that you spend some time reviewing before taking the placement test. For useful review websites click here and scroll to the bottom of the page.

IMPORTANT: Only transfer credits at the non-developmental math level (MTH 128/129 equivalent or higher) will be accepted by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics to meet a prerequisite.
